Jerry, our wedding in 1985 and our reception at the Orinda Country Club were 2 of the most beautiful events ever, and we were SO much in love, I could never forget that.. Although we divorced 1-1/2 year later in Reno, I've always thought fondly of you. You were always a great and stand-up guy. We always had a great time skiing in Tahoe and Reno, playing golf, travelling, etc. You worked hard to help us make ends meet and were a good planner and provider. Thanks for being a part of my life, I grew and learned a lot from our relationship and I really appreciate the time we spent together. As a converted Catholic for the past 17 years, I pray for your passing those pearly gates. "Bandit at 12:00!" This was Jerry's competitive way to pick up the pace on a power walk and catch walkers in front of us, one by one, listening to Rock 'n' Roll on his Walkman. One power walk I remember, having to jog to keep up while hurting from laughing so hard. He suddenly stopped and handed me his headphones dripping with sweat saying: "you got to listen to this song!". I went through St. Augustine's and High School with Jerry. He was St. Mary's; we were Holy Names. We had LOTs of great weekends on Jerry's Court. Jerry would come pick all of us up and take us all home on those weekend nights. I remember, (I think) his blue car:) We all grew up on that court. Dated each other, broke up with each other, but still that bond will always be in all of our hearts. Jerry Garrity will be missed more than words can describe. Jerry and Dan were best friends for over 30 years. They were business partners at First Statewide Realty, travel companions, golf, exercise, and gambling buddies. Jerry, Suzy, Joan and Dan celebrated Jerry's 60TH birthday in Las Vegas. What an honor and fond memories we have of Jerry that will be cherished forever. We are grateful to have been a part of his life for so many years. Jerry was so proud of Gregory. We remember watching Gregory at baseball and football games. We know Jerry is in a better place and will miss him.

Knowing Jerry and having the opportunity to play ball with him at St. Mary's was an honor. While opening holes for him to run through was a joy, the times I had to line up at middle linebacker and tackle him (attempt) were much less joyfulâ?¦Nothing but knees and elbowsâ?¦uhhh!The reunion we had for the football team has become so much more poignant with his passing. god bless you jerry. i can still remember the salesian championship game in 1971. we took a big lead, but had it closed by 2 points, then stopped their 2 point conversion attempt. jerry then went on to score a touchdown and put the game out of reach for salesian. st. marys was the cal champs. thanks for the track and field memories that jerry was involved in. jesus in your hearts. jim muzzini.
