James Nathan Jackson's Obituary
James Nathan Jackson passed away on July 29, 2024
at the age of 75 in San Francisco, CA. Born on
February 6, 1949, James dedicated 47 years of his life
to Pacific Bell and AT&T, where his commitment and
hard work left a lasting impact. James proudly served
in the US Army, where his dedication and service were
respected by his peers. His military background
instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie
that he carried throughout his life. He was a man full
of spirit, known for his jokes, laughter, kindness and
love.
James, better known as Jay-Jay, found joy in ballroom dancing, playing golf,
and gardening. He was also passionate about mentoring and coaching
youth sports, influencing many young lives in his community. James
worshipped at St. Paul of the Shipwreck and St. Anne Catholic Church,
where he was a cherished member of the community.
James leaves behind a legacy of love that will be carried on by his wife,
Wendy Haiyan Jackson; his first wife Helia Jackson, their children Angela
Rosas and Jermaine Jackson; his grandchildren Adriana Jackson, Valentino
Rosas, Mariela Rosas, Janae Jackson, Mia Neece and Elijah Thompson; His
nephew, niece and their children Glen, Tanya, Kayla and Kristopher
Patterson; 3 sisters Ella Marie Henderson, Billie Jean Fitzpatrick and
Francis Marquez; 2 brothers Vernon Taylor Sr. and Michael Jasper; his aunt
Mary Harrison and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by Helen Rose Jackson, Rebecca Johnson,
Wallace Johnson Jr. and Yvette Bell.
A service to honor his life will be held
at St. Anne Catholic Church on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 12pm.
Jay Jay was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew and
friend that will be forever missed, but will live on in the hearts of all who
knew him.
