Jacquois Lateef Thompson Jr.'s Obituary
Jacquois Thompson Jr. was born February 17, 2011. His dimples could melt the hearts of those around him and his voice could always be heard. He touched the lives of everyone he met including strangers and many family members and friends in some small way throughout his short, yet very memorable life. Jacquois life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. This beautiful little boy had fallen ill and diagnosed with Renal Rhabdoid Sarcoma of the Kidney Stage IV. Kidney tumors of this type begin from cells in the kidneys. These tumors are not a common form of cancer in children. In the United States, doctors diagnose about 550 cases each year in children younger than age 15. JJ fought a long hard battle against this disease with the help of his strong and determined mother Wendi who did everything she could to fight this demon we call cancer. After a long battle JJ succumb to his illness. During the early morning of March 13, 2013, precious JJ gained his Angel wings and is now playing free of pain in Heaven.
