JACQUELYN WATSON WHITENER
OCTOBER 9, 1932 – MARCH 8, 2013
Jacquelyn Whitener lived life, loved life and passed to a new life on March 8, 2013. Jackie was born to Jacquelyn and Auti Watson in Merced, CA in 1932. She moved to Oakland in 1944 and went on to graduate from Castlemont High, Oakland in 1951. She married young and had two sons, Mike and Steve and a daughter, Susan. She volunteered for different organizations throughout life and spent many years volunteering at the White Elephant Sale for the Oakland Museum. She had a unique ability to touch the lives of all that had the opportunity to know her and her gentle kindness brought her to become a Certified Hypnotherapist which she practiced for many years. Through her many journeys, spirit of life, laughter and compassion made permanent impressions on all who knew her. Jackie's memories will be forever remembered.
Jackie leaves behind her son Mike (wife Pam), her daughter Susan (husband Frank Ransom), Steve’s widow Anne Whitener Andra, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren , her sister Janet Watson and her family, as well as other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Steve.
