Ivonne Calderon's Obituary
We’re saddened by the loss of our beloved daughter, Ivonne Calderón, in Oakland, California on December 14th, 2020. In her short 32 years, she was able to accomplish many milestones, most importantly receiving a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Visual Communications from San Francisco State University. She passionately believed in Justice and Equality for all and most importantly women’s rights. She lived this ideal curating and sharing messages of love, self care, and empowerment on her website Chicas.In.Power. Her love for art and design led her to teach graphic design, traditional art concepts, and photography via enrichment programs at various schools in Oakland and San Francisco. She is survived by her loving parents Juan and María Isabel, and her three siblings: Maggy, J. Juan, and Mikel. May the flame of joy she ignited inside all the people whose lives she touched spread and burn bright for many generations to come.

Nos entristece la partida de nuestra querida hija Ivonne Calderón en Oakland, California el 14 de Diciembre del 2020. A sus cortos 32 años de edad, pudo lograr muchas metas, la más significativa, recibir una Licenciatura en Ciencias (BS) en Comunicaciones Visuales de la Universidad Estatal de San Francisco. Creía apasionadamente en la Justicia y la Igualdad para todxs y, lo que es más importante, en los derechos de las mujeres. Vivió este ideal con diseño, modificación y edición del contenido y compartiendo mensajes de amor, autocuidado y empoderamiento en su sitio web Chicas.In.Power. Su amor por el arte y el diseño la llevó a enseñar diseño gráfico, conceptos de arte tradicional y fotografía a través de programas de enriquecimiento en varias escuelas de Oakland y San Francisco. Le sobreviven sus amorosos padres Juan y María Isabel, y sus tres hermanos; Maggy, J. Juan y Mikel. Que la llama de la alegría que ella encendió dentro de todas las personas cuyas vidas tocó se extienda y arda durante muchas generaciones por venir.
