Inger Johanne Brevik Solnordal's Obituary
Inger Johanne Brevik Solnordal (August 4, 1934 – November 28, 2020)
Inger passed quietly, in the comfort of her home, with her family at her side, on Saturday, November 28, 2020, following a long struggle with Parkinson’s.
Inger was born in Alesund, Norway to the late Martin Daniel Brevik and Gunvor Korsan on August 4, 1934. Inger was married to Otto Leonard Solnordal in Borgund, Norway on May 30, 1959. Together they immigrated to the USA on March 30, 1963 and became US citizens on May 6, 1969. They have been long term residents of Oakland for the past 47 years.
Inger enjoyed a long and successful career as a manager in the banking industry before her retirement.
Inger is survived by her husband of 61 years, Otto Leonard Solnordal and their two children, Borgar Martin and Sylvia Marie.
Borgar Martin Solnordal and Jeanne Marie Carey have five children: Lorenzo Keys, Justin Keys, Mariah Solnordal, Erik Solnordal and Ryan Solnordal and 5 great grandchildren, Lukas, Noah, Sebastian, Julius and Colette Keys.
Sylvia Marie Solnordal and Kenneth Scott Pimentel have two children: Joseph Pimentel and Nicholas Pimentel.
Inger was a long time member of the Norwegian Seaman’s Church in San Francisco where all of her grandchildren were proudly baptized.
She will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family!
