Inga was a member of “Our Saviors Danish Lutheran Church” on 7th Ave. in Oakland. My mother, Ellen Christiansen was her Sunday School teacher and babysat her and her brother Paul. Many picnics, and holidays were shared together. Inga and my Mom had many similar interest; choir, piano, tennis, and all things Danish. My oldest sister knew Inga well, but I didn’t really get a chance to visit with her until Inga joined Trinity Lutheran Church on Alma Ave. There Inga re-introduced me to my old piano teacher Gwen Siebert. It was good to see her again and I appreciate Inga’s efforts to reunite us. It was good for my soul to start practicing again. It enabled me to play at my Mom’s funeral at which Inga and many TLC members hosted a lovely service and nurturing banquet. Inga wrote such a lovely comforting note and offered to teach me ‘School St.’ Danish the dialect that was similar to my Mom’s. Inga was good at nurturing the soul of others as many people testified at her memorial service. Hopefully a bit of Inga’s good nature and kindness will continue in each of who knew her. Till we meet again – Indtil vi modes igen. Farvel sode ven ?? Farewell sweet friend
