Hisayo Mori's Obituary
HISAYO MORI passed away in Castro Valley, CA on January 30, 2003. Her beloved husband Toshio Mori, the first Japanese-American writer to have a book of short stories published, preceded her in death. She was the loving mother of Steven Y. Mori of San Leandro, CA and the dear sister of Hiroko Suda of Oakland. Her siblings Itsuko Yamakawa, Haruo Nakagari and Eichi Yoshiwara preceded her in death.A native of Berkeley, CA, she was 87 years of age. She was volunteer/worker for Catholic Charities, Housekeeper, and Beauty Shop Owner/Beautician. Private Services are held in her memory.
