Henrietta J. Cheung's Obituary
Henrietta J. Cheung was born December 14, 1923. She made a peaceful transition on March 8, 2018 with her family by her side. Born in Chicago, Illinois and married to a beloved husband, Peter Cheung (deceased), on December 7, 1941. She was a long-time resident of Danville, CA.
A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Henrietta enjoyed dancing, singing, traveling, and teaching her family how to cook special homemade dishes. She was an incredibly strong, loving, giving and compassionate person. Those around her could feel how wonderfully loving she was.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her husband and is survived by her loving family. Six children; Josephine (Rick), Anna, Irene, Stephen (Diana), Benny and Cecilia; Fourteen grandchildren; Lisa deCastro (Glenn), Vincent Ng (Sue), Edwin Lew, Connie Ng, Lillian Yu (Alex), Sabrina Casey (John), Eric Liu (Emily), Audrey Jackson (Mario), Stephanie De Paco (Gregory), Dion Cheng (Rachel), Terrance Cheung, Charles Cheung (Boom), Edward Cheung; Benjamin Cheung; twenty great-grandchildren; Glenn Jr, Ashley, Dexter, Zachary, Sierra, Courtney, Brandon, Justin, Lauren, Nicholas, Alexis, Nathan, Samantha, Maya, Giacomo, Dillion, Aidan, Olivia, Evan, and Theo; five siblings; Robert (Sheila), Maybelle (Wong), Mimi (Stephen), Nancy (Doug), and Norman (deceased). Henrietta was also blessed with a host of extended family and friends that loved her dearly.
Family and friends are invited to a public viewing, Monday, March 19, 2018 from 5PM to 8PM. Funeral Services will be held, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 10:30AM. All services will be held at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA 94611
