Helen Marie Burrus Coleman of Berkeley, CA and a native of Richmond, CA worked for Social Security Administration in Richmond, CA and was President of AFGE Local 1122. Preceding her in death were her husband, Noble Coleman; father, Robert Burrus; mother, Carrie Marie Burrus-Lewis; Step-father, Bud Lewis; brother, Robert Burrus, and sister, Vonzetta (Von) Lee. Helen entered eternal rest on December 11, 2013. She leaves her cherishable memories to daughter, Twanna (Roderick, Sr.) Rogers and sons Jason Miller and Andre Coleman; brothers Deacon Clifford (Rosie) Lewis, Sr., and Anthony Lewis, Sr.; sister, Dr. Shelia Lewis; three grandchildren as well as a host of relatives and friends. A Viewing will be held 4:00 pm-8:00 pm at Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 and a Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave., Oakland, CA 94611.
