Hargrow D. Barber, Sr.'s Obituary
Hargrow D. Barber, Sr., age 92, of Hayward, California passed away peacefully on October 28, 2017. He was born in Mississippi on April 24, 1925. Hargrow graduated from U.C. Berkeley and received his Master’s Degree. He was married to Jessie L. Singleton in November of 1950. Mrs. Barber preceded him in death on February 8, 2016.
Hargrow worked at the US Naval Base in Alameda, California and had a career in Corrosion Control. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Hargrow had a passion for dancing and watching sports.
He is survived by his children, Janice, Dexter (Jr.) and Marcus Barber; grandchildren Alicia, Ben, Tony, Taylor, David and Noah; and two siblings, Frezell and Arcola.
He will be remembered fondly and will always be in our hearts.
