Hae-Ja Min, born January 10, 1928, in Korea to parents Tae-Hwang Min and In-Soon Lee, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025, at the age of 97. Her remarkable journey spanned continents and touched the hearts of many.
Hae-Ja spent her early years in Korea before embarking on a new chapter of her life in San Francisco, where she resided for many years. Her strength, resilience, and gentle spirit made her a beloved member of the community.
Hae-Ja is survived by her cherished daughter, Un-Jung Kim, and her adored granddaughter, Valerie Peters. Her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her will deeply miss her.
In accordance with her wishes, Hae-Ja's remains will be scattered near the Golden Gate Bridge, a place that held special meaning in her life.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and perseverance will continue to inspire those who knew her. Rest in peace, Hae-Ja Min.
