Gregory Bruce Jones was born on February 9, 1954, to Louis and Vivian Jones in Logan, Utah. He was the eldest of five children and was raised in a close-knit family rooted in love, strength, and community.
Gregory received his schooling in Oakland, CA and, following graduation, proudly served his country in the United States Army for several years. His military service reflected the discipline, dedication, and quiet strength that would define his life.
After completing his service, Gregory began a remarkable 46-year career with the United States Postal Service. His commitment, dependability, and strong work ethic earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. He remained devoted to his work until his unexpected passing.
Known to many as “Greg,” he was a man of few words but possessed a huge heart and a deep love for his family and friends. His calm presence, kindness, and unwavering loyalty touched countless lives. Though quiet in nature, his actions consistently spoke volumes, and those who knew him understood the depth of his care and generosity.
Gregory will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis K. Jones and Vivian Lopo Jones; his sister, Janice Polk, and his brother, Dennis K. Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory: his brothers, Anthony C. Jones (Sabrina) and Robert P. Jones, and a host of nieces, nephew, extended family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones.
His legacy of quiet strength, service, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
