Gloria Jean Baughman was born to Rev. Ceil & Rose C. Lowry on October 15, 1937 in Denver, Colorado. She was second child of family of three daughters. The family moved to Oakland California in 1945 to pastor the Oakland Revival Tabernacle Church. Gloria graduated from Monte Vista Christian High School in Watsonville. She met and married Marion N. Baughman and then had three daughters Renee, Debra and Kimberly. The family has resided in Castro Valley for the last 50 years. She was a devoted mother, wife, and loved the Lord Jesus Christ
Gloria was a very ambitious woman. She worked at Bank of America. She started her 40 year Realtor career at Red Coach Realty in San Leandro, where she was a top producer. She founded Jewel Tree jewelry company. She was the Secretary-Treasurer at Trinity Church. She later became the Administrator and established the We Care Food Program. She managed Housewives Market along with the City of Oakland, where she and her husband owned and operated Baughman Coffee Shop.
Marion & Gloria Baughman would be celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary this year.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted and loving husband, Marion Baughman, three daughters Renee Baughman, Debra Carruth, Kimberly Neufeld; two sisters Shirley Foreman of San Jose, and Carolyn Vasconcellos of Danville; 5 grandchildren, and a host of extended relatives and friends.
Those she loved and those who loved her will dearly miss Gloria.
