Glendle Halbert Hale's Obituary
Glendle H. Hale and Virginia M. Hale, Oakland residents for 30 plus years. Glendle was born in St. Louis, MO on May 12, 1923. He retired in 1976 from the U.S. Marine Corps as a Sgt. Major after serving 32 years. He also retired in 1988 working at the NUMMI plant in Fremont. He played an active role as Chairman for the UAW Local #2244 Retiree’s Chapter. Glen died of a heart attack at home on October 19, 2001. He was 78. His son, Steve Hale and stepson, Robert Miller, survive him.Virginia was born in Earlham, IA on February 24, 1917. She retired from American Home Foods, Vacaville and Kelly-Clark, Inc. Virginia passed away of natural causes on November 8, 2001. She was 84. Her son, Robert Miller, and her stepson, Steve Hale, survive her.They will be deeply missed by family and friends. Private services will be held on December 1, 2001.
