Gladys Violet De Largy's Obituary
Born in London, England on September 1, 1921 and died in Oakland, CA on May 4, 2007 of natural causes. She was the fifth child of six children of Frederick and Anne Cooke of London, England. After high school, Gladys was drafted into a War Factory for six years during World War II. After WWII she worked as a telephone supervisor at Whitehall Telephone Exchange where she met Charles Vincent DeLargy (deceased 1975). After a 5 year courtship, there were married in 1951 and immigrated to California. There they had 2 children: Theresa and Sean. Gladys in later years worked at the Altenheim Retirement Home as a practical nurse for over 20 years. Gladys has been struggling with various health issues for the last 5 years. Now she'll be free of pain with the Lord in Heaven. She always prayed for others.
