Georgia Mae Franklin's Obituary
Georgia Mae Franklin, 66, of Oakland, California passed away on
Monday, November 25, 2013.
She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 27 1947, to Horace Franklin and Tular (Whitaker) Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her biological father, Horace Franklin, Daddy, Bishop Clarence Williams, and brothers, Anthony, Preamus, and Douglas Williams.
Georgia was educated in the Oakland Public Schools; graduating from Fremont High and earned an AA Degree at Laney College. She was employed with AT&T. Her last position was Supervisor in the Treasury Department before retiring with close to 30 years of service.
She was a fun loving person but would do anything to aid anybody – especially telling them about Jesus. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the First Morning Star B.C. of Oakland, CA.
Georgia leaves to cherish her memories: Her loving Mother, Tular Williams; four brothers, Horace Jr., Harold, and Noel Franklin, and Michael Williams; five sisters, Velora Savage, Deloris Williams, Theresa Scott, Marcel Williams, and Glenda Harris; two brothers-in-law, Elve Savage and Percy Scott; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Franklin and Ernestine Williams; many nieces and nephews, and a host other relatives and friends.
