Margaret Allen
I am remembering Dr. George Nugent, a surgeon at Kaiser Oakland Hospital. I was just sending him a card and found this announcement that he had passed away. I was a resident at Kaiser Oakland 1975-79 and I wanted to thank him for all the mentoring he gave me in my surgical career. I well remember a party he gave at his lovely house for the residents. And, I also remember that, when I went on to cardiac surgical residency at Stanford, he came over to Woodside to take me out to lunch, a very special event for me. I have now just retired myself from my own career and wanted him to know to what a true inspiration he had been for me during my residency years. He was certainly one of the best people, and one of the best surgeons, I have met over the past 40 years. I am so sorry to hear he is gone. Peace and condolences to all of his family.Take care,Margaret Allen, MDSeattle
