Jones, George Cambell (Cam)-Nov 2, 2001. Aged 91 years. Born in Berkeley, CA in 1910, graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford, University-class of ’32. After 20 years with FMC, he retired in 1965, and went into business for himself. A 40-year resident of Piedmont. He was a sailor, hiker, traveler, artist, and during the last 15 years of his life, an avid rower and member of the Lake Merrit Rowing Club.Cam is survived by his ever beloved wife of 61 years, D’Anne, and his four children: Jaquith (Patrick) Travis, Bob (Jane) Jones, Dan (Maile) Jones, and Alison (Derek) Green; and his grandchildren; Megan, Robin, and Cambell Jones, Michael Travis, Natalie Jones, and Shelby, Cecily, and Nathan Green.A private service will be held.Chapel of the Chimes-Oakland(510) 654-0123″Service of Marked Distinction”
