George "Ted" Jatho's Obituary
George “Ted” Jatho passed away peacefully on March 13, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Barbara Virginia Shreve. He is survived by his children Jean (Dave) Sullivan and Bill (Donna) Jatho, his grandchildren Matthew, Mary, and Kathleen Sullivan, Will Jatho, Amanda Jatho Foreman, and two great-granddaughters, Catherine and Margaret Jatho. He was also preceded in death by his second wife, Barbara Leaf.
Ted graduated from Piedmont High School in 1945 and the University of California, Berkeley in 1950 where he was president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He served in the United States Navy, was President of Mechanics, Tool, and Supply, and served as President of the Northern Industrial Distributers’ Association. He loved golf and traveling.
Ted will be remembered for his love and dedication to his family, his smile and positive disposition, and his kindness to others.
His family would like to thank the caregivers at Atria Valley View as well as Sans Souci for their wonderful care.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
