What a special and remarkable lady God has blessed us with for so long.. I will miss Mrs. Scott’s smile and warm welcome everytime time I saw her. We had great conversations (when others were fighting over the fried turkey), and I really enjoyed her company the few time I could get it each year. What a dear friend Freddye was to all who became members of her friend club. A true friend she was to those who knew her well. A no nonsense woman who took her place in the world when she was young.She simply found a way to gingerly step over Jim Crow’s South and fit in wherever she chose to be.A good family who made their way wherever they chose to live.I will miss her and revisit photos to bring back memories that are lasting.Rest in peace, my dear friend. As a kid I didn’t realize how beautiful she was because she was always tough and smart. What a beautiful photo to choose. Through her I discovered my love of reading and for that I will forever be thankful. Rest In Peace.

What an amazing and successful life she lived and her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren.
