Franklyn Lee's Obituary
Franklyn Lee, 91, passed away in Alameda peacefully at home on Thursday November 13, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Edna Lee, wife Kathleen Lee and daughter Diana Lee Yoritate.
Franklyn was born in Oakland, California and moved to Alameda at the age of 10. He joined the Marines at the age of 17 and served in the Korean war. After the military, he started his career as a butcher working in his father’s market, then joining the butchers union and working at the Co-oP supermarkets. He retired in 1988 and subsequently devoted his time to fishing and traveling with his family.
Franklyn is survived by his daughters Vicki Lee, Cindy Lee, son-in-law Norman Yoritate and granddaughter Brianna Yoritate.
Services will be held on December 6, 2025 at 12:00pm, Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave., Oakland CA 94611.
