Frances S. Sera's Obituary
Frances S. Sera passed away in Alameda, CA. on December 30, 2001. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband. Roy Sera, her sister Esther Sera, and brothers David Kawamoto and Roy Kawamoto. Her cousins, Minako Nakamoto and Sumio Fujimura, her sisters-in-law, Toshiko Kawamoto and Frances Kawamoto, her dear friends Nellie Takeda and family, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews survive her. Frances was born in San Jose, CA. on May 17, 1920. She was married in 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah where she and her husband operated their dry cleaning business. In 1975, she returned to California after the passing of her husband.She was a member of the Buena Vista United Methodist Church in Alameda and the Extending Connections Senior Program. Private services will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Buena Vista Methodist Church at 2311 Buena Vista, Alameda. CA 94501.
