Frances Forbus' Obituary
Frances Anne Forbus, 70, of Oakland, CA, died September 18, 2020, at home. Frances was born in Morehead City, North Carolina to Mary and Rufus Hester. After graduating from high school in 1968, Frances moved to Providence, Rhode Island. She attended Rhode Island Junior College, where she obtained an Associate of Arts degree in 1977. In 1981, she moved to Sacramento, California and lived there until 1989. She then moved to Oakland, California. She worked in the financial services industry during most of her adult life in positions ranging from administration to management. She had a tremendous positive effect on the lives of loved ones, friends, co-workers, and in some instances strangers. Once you met Frances, you never forgot her. All of us involved in her life, will never, ever forget her!
She is survived by her husband, George of Oakland, CA; siblings, Rufus Abdullah of Pawtucket, RI; William Hester of Jonesboro, GA; Rudy Hester of Chesapeake, VA; Florence McClark of North Providence, RI; George Hester of Morehead City, NC; Thomasine Rich of North Providence, RI; several nieces and nephews, and many friends and loved ones.
