Fernando Augusto Ramis' Obituary
Fernando Augusto Ramis was born July 3rd, 1959 to the parents of Fernando Ramis Graham and Juana Zola in Trujillo, Peru. He passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on October 1st, 2019, at the age of 60. He lived in Lima with his family until he immigrated to California in 1984. Fernando graduated with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in 1988 from San Francisco State University. During this time, he fell in love with Iliana P. Lefevre and her two children, Marco Campos and Elizabeth Campos. Fernando and Iliana were married in 1987 in San Ramon. Alongside Iliana, he continued to support Marco and Elizabeth as well as raise two boys, Fernando Ramis-Lefevre and Julien Ramis-Lefevre in the comfort of his home in San Ramon, California. In Berkeley he owned and managed “Car Craft Collision Specialists,” an automotive collision repair body shop for 30 years before handing the business to his eldest son, Marco. The business is now owned and managed by Marco to this day. Fernando loved music, dancing, racquetball and to exercise, but nothing would compare his number one favorite, running. He loved to be outside and enjoyed running for great lengths. Fernando was an annual attendee for local benefits like The Primo’s Run for Education, The Devil Mountain Run, and many more holiday 5K and 10K runs. Sometimes his kids would even join him on these races. His greatest accomplishment was finishing his first marathon race in the 2009 San Francisco Marathon. He loved his family and worked very hard to provide futures for each of them as well as his grandkids. A man of hard work and motivation, Fernando never gave up on his desires, dreams, or himself.
He is survived by his wife, Iliana Lefevre-Ramis, his children: Marco Campos, Lisa Campos, Elizabeth Hancock, Chad Hancock, Fernando Ramis-Lefevre, Julien Ramis-Lefevre, Kayla Ramis, all his grandchildren: Daniella, Everett, Antonio, Gabriella, Eva, Isabella and Cruz, and his siblings: Martin Ramis, Pepe Ramis, Beto Ramis, Beatriz Ramis, Violeta Ramis, Rody Campos and Nina Campos.
