Although I met Fay when I started working at EBMUD in 1984, it wasn't until I began working in Purchasing in 1994 that I got to know her. And that was it…we clicked! We became more than just co-workers, we became good friends. We've shared a lot of laughs and good times over the years. I always enjoyed her sense of humor and admired her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help with anything. Fay was a great lady and I was privileged to call her my friend. She will be missed more thanwords can say. My heart goes out to Domingo, Joe, Dani, and all of her other relatives and friends who share in this great sadness of a good person taken from us much too soon.

I met Faye through a zoology class at UC Berkeley back in the late 1970s. I will always remember her joyfulness. Being in "her light" was a special experience. My deep condolences to her family.

I've known Fay for too short a time. What I do remember is that she was very kind, compassionate, and calm. One thing I learned about her was her community involvement. Before there was ever an Asian Pacific Employee Association at work, she with her many social contacts and I went out into the Asian community in Oakland and contacted many social, cultural and social services organization for information and to send representatives so that our workplace could celebrate Asian Pacific Heritage month. Many of our coworkers and the general public leatned about the social, cultural and human services available where our workplace was located. I was impressed with her ability to almost single-handedly organize the celebration and to put her stamp of community spirit on the event. I will miss her.

I worked with Fay in the early 80's at the Berkeley Business Office. We were a small work group and looked out for each other. We had some fun and crazy times working at that office. We always referred to Berkeley as Berserkeley. She would bring items to work that she purchased with her discount from Macy saying she thought I might could use them. She was always thinking of others. She was a wonderful friend as well as co-worker and I was truly blessed to know her. Her presence has been and will be truly missed. My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to her Husband, children and family.

It was my pleasure to work with Fay for over 23 years at EBMUD. She was always helpful, exhibiting a "can do" attitude even with the most difficult of tasks as well as the minor issues that occur in the work place. She had a very kind heart and was there when I needed to talk to someone about work or family issues. I worked with Fay for 19 years and we became very good friends. We often shared breakfast snacks, lunch and many slices of birthday cakes. Neither one of us really cared for sweets, so a little piece of cake was plenty for us at the office birtheday celebrations. I never liked going to Dim Sum with Fay because she never let me ask for a fork and always made me use chopsticks. She also ordered food that I didn't want to try. We always fought at our Dim Sum outings, but it was always a FUN FIGHT.Fay touched everyone at East Bay MUD and we will miss her so much.I know she had a full life and was dedicated to her family, but she also had a full life and dedication to East Bay MUD.We miss you Fay.Eulalia Sweet

I had the pleasure and honor to work with Fay at East Bay Mud for almost 24 years. She was always happy and calm, never complaining about all the silly stuff most workers complain about. She appreciated everything about her life and that made her so happy.My deepest condolences to her family, especially her children.
