Resident of Walnut Creek Evelyn Anne Nielsen passed away peacefully on December 27, 2013 at the age of 95. She was born in Kerman, California November 16, 1918, and was the second daughter of Niels and Metha Nielsen. She attended High School in Oakland and studied at Cal Berkley. Evelyn enjoyed 34 yr. career with Pacific Telephone and another late life career of over 3 decades as a Real Estate Agent in Rossmoor of Walnut Creek. She will be remembered for her strong work ethic, love of travel and unconditional love of her family.Evelyn survived by her son Richard Nielsen (Jackie); Granddaughter Nicole Tehaney (Paul); Granddaughter Tracy Cagliero (Phillip); Great Granddaughter Kaili Tehaney, and Great Grandsons Jacob and Aiden Cagliero. She is also survived by her sister May Schalansky and sister Norma Ridenour (Dan). Her husband Jacob Loring Nielsen (1979) preceded her in death. Memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels of Contra Costa County and Hospice of the East Bay. Services will be held by Sue Adams, at the Rossmoor Gateway Clubhouse, Fireside room, January 10th at 3:30pm.
