Evelyn Fay Jackson's Obituary
Evelyn Fay “Faye” Jackson, born October 28, 1956, in Lake Providence, Louisiana, passed away leaving a legacy of compassion, love, and service. The daughter of Josephine Jackson and Reverend Gus Lee Sr., Evelyn graduated from Lake Providence Senior High School in 1975 and later earned a nursing degree from community college, dedicating her life to caring for others.
In 1988, Evelyn moved to California, where she worked at Medical Hill Healthcare Center, Excell Healthcare Center, and Kindred Hospital. Known for her kindness and generosity, she touched the lives of patients, coworkers, friends, and family alike.
A woman of deep faith, Evelyn accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Mary’s Baptist Church in Lake Providence, Louisiana. She also attended Grace Bible Church in Tracy, California, and Allen Temple Baptist Church in Oakland, California.
Evelyn loved traveling, supporting her family, and celebrating the accomplishments of those she loved. She was especially devoted to her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews, always showing up with encouragement and unwavering support.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Roderick Ulysses Jackson Sr.; her sister, Helen Jackson Ball; her brother, Edward Charles Jackson; and her grandmothers, Florida Barber Matthews and Mozella “Dear” Barber.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Areisha Robinson Bell and Shereda Robinson Nosakhare (Richard); her beloved grandchildren; her siblings Clara Taylor, James Jackson, Delores Ann Jackson, Cynthia McCurry, Paul Jackson, Connie Newton, Gus Lee Jr., Amos Earl Lee, and Robert Louis Lee; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
