Estanislao Abalos Porlaris Jr., Oakland, California, August 28, 1946 to July 5, 2010. Estanislao aka "Stan", age 63, a resident of Oakland, CA died peacefully on July 5, 2010 at home surrounded by family. He was born sixth of nine siblings in the Philippines and moved to Texas in the early 60s. In the late 60s, he moved with his family to Oakland where he spent the rest of his life surrounding himself with family and friends. Stan is survived by his two sons and their wives, David Sr. (and Sophia) and Robert (and Rachel), his daughter and her companion, La Shana (and JP), his former wife Mary Ann, and five grandchildren Lauryn, Maya, David Jr., Donovan and Isabelle. He is also survived by three brothers (Rey, Renie and Roy), three sisters (Lita, Lillian and Loida) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Estanislao Sr. & Victoria Porlaris, and sisters, Luz and Lydia.Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Thursday, July 15, 2010 between 4-8pm, with a rosary beginning at 6pm, and a service on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 9am. Both will be at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA 94611.
