Eric Christian Kindem's Obituary
Eric Christian Kindem was born on October 4, 1971 in Alameda, California to Joy Kindem (Codde) and the late David Kindem.
Eric worked for the State of California for over 20 years, first for State Compensation Insurance Fund and then most recently with the Department of Insurance. He was very friendly and made many friends among his colleagues.
Eric was a big sports fan and loved all sports. As a Bay Area native he had a passion for the Raiders, Oakland A’s, and the Golden State Warriors. He attended many games at the Oakland Coliseum and Arena over the years.
Eric was part of a large close knit family. He was an integral part of the many family get togethers, birthdays, holidays, and vacations that were shared.
He enjoyed barbecuing and tried to teach his daughters at a young age. He also made excellent spaghetti, a copy from his mom’s recipe.
He made friends fast with his smile, welcoming demeanor, and quick wit. His favorite joke to repeat to someone he just met was that his daughter got her hair from him.
Eric was survived by his mother Joy Kindem, his daughter, Erin Kindem, his step-daughter, Jacqueline Norris, his older brother, Mike Kindem (Tammy), his older sister, Michelle Kindem-Martinez (Ralph), his aunt Jill Darcey (Rick), cousins Marc Darcey (Unmi) and Jason Arriola, and nieces and nephews, Michael Brown, Katherine Quinn, Alexa Martinez, Shawn Flores, and Kelly Lareza.
