I was so sorry to hear the news about Eric and wished I could have attended the service for him on Friday. My memories of him at Encinal are so vivid, and it is a puzzlement (as he sang so beautifully as The King) why we lost him at such a young age. He brought such joy to those who knew him and he left an indelible mark on the stages of Encinal High School. He approached every moment with a great spirit. The many moments of laughter he gave me will be remembered forever and the tears I shed at the news of his passing were for the knowledge that I am a better person for having known Eric and for the realization that those who might have known him in the future have been deprived of that wonderful opportunity. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family.
