Elva Doris Lowry's Obituary
Elva Doris (Womack) Lowry, died at age 96, on January 24, 2007. Elva was born January 13, 1911 in Winters, Ca. to Wallace and Maude (Harvey) Womack. Elva was preceded in death by her husband, John Lowry Jr. of Oakland, and her brother Elllis Womack of Menlo Park. Elva was also preceded in death by her Aunt, Carrie Fischer, who was born in Winters and lived on the Fischer Ranch on Putah Creek until her death at 98. Elva is survived by her sister Alda Mae (Stark) Baily of Payson Az.; Many nieces and nephews, great and great-great. Elva was a devoted mother to her daughter, Ardelle( lowry) Hampton and a loving grandmother to Lorinne (Rego) Griswold and Lenee' (Rego) Jacobson, and enjoyed her great grandchildren, Allie, Nicky, Ella, and Anna. Elva loved Winters. Her favorite memories were of the Fischer family ranch.A Memorial service will be held at 11:00am on February 10 at New Hope Christian Fellowship, 22110 Montgomery St., Hayward, Ca. 94541, (510) 537-6230.
