Elizabeth Kwan's Obituary
Elizabeth Lai Man Kwan, born October 23, 1941, in China, passed away on September 9, 2025, at age 83. The eldest daughter of General Kwan Yui Chung and Doctor Lee Bing Yin, she moved to Hawaii at 13, later becoming student body president and Miss International at Roosevelt High School in Honolulu. She studied at the College of San Mateo in California and built a successful career as an interior decorator. Known also as an investor, traveler, and family Matriarch, she is survived by her sisters Lai-Yin Walley, Linda Kan, and Pat Kwan and her nieces and nephews. Her flair, love of adventure, and loyalty to her family will be missed forever.
