Eileen LaChapelle's Obituary
Our beloved Eileen LaChapelle was born October 30, 1947 in Gary, Indiana to Parents George and Pearlena Reece. She moved to Oakland California in 1980. She was currently employed with Alameda Alliance.
“Eileen” accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Christian Valley Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev C.H.Taylor in Gary, Indiana. During her years of service she served in the Taylor youth choir and as a one the helpful servants in the church kitchen. She joined Good Samaritan Church of God in Christ, Oakland, California in 1980 where she served as a Faithful dedicated servant who gave unselfishly to make the church special.
She made her transition into eternal life on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 surrounded by family and friends who loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her Parents George and Pearlena “Lil-Ma” Reece, Maternal grand-parents Cabe and Sarah “Big-Ma” McClenton, and Fraternal grandmother Marie Reece.
Eileen was always a high energy vibrant person who loved having fun, shopping, cooking and being around her family and friends. Last but not least our outgoing “Eileen” loved to dance. She’s a true Angel……
She was a loving and devoted mother to two daughters Tiffani Little & Evelyn LaChapelle whom she loved and adored very much, one very special grand-daughter Venise Dior LaChapelle-Sutton, one step-son Greg Clay, one sister Betty (Albert) Thomas, one brother Harvey L. Brown, extended family Gail (Michael) Smith, Sheila Johnson, Elizabeth “Liz” DeSarzant, Patricia “Pat” (Kevin) Ridley and Tanya Delahoussaye, two God-daughter Che’ Germany & Miya Smith, special friend Kevin Rogers and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. “Eileen”was a role model, mother figure to many, and touched many lives I know in their hearts she will remain.
