Earlene Edith Woehrle's Obituary
Earlene Edith Worhrle, 99 years of age, of Palo Alto, passed away February 26, 2018, peacefully in her sleep. Earlene was born in Iowa on February 16, 1919. Edith Earlene Smith graduated from Fort Madison High School in Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Carl Woehrle, that passed away in 2005. She married to John Carl Woehrle on November 29,1950 in Pacific Grove, California. Earlene had a career as a Radio Operator for United Airlines where she met her husband. She was a member and served as a Chaplain at the Unity Palo Alto Community Church. She always had a passion for Classical Music.
Earlene loved going out to lunches, dinners and teas with her friends. She was thoughtful, kind and sociable towards everyone. She enjoyed spending time with her cats. She loved to travel to Europe, especially to Germany visiting friends and relatives. Earlene enjoyed eating Chinese food. Earlene was always put together, classy and a well-dressed woman. Her friends will miss her humor and generosity. She will be missed by all who knew her, relatives and friends alike. There will be a private memorial service for Earlene.
