Douglas Lim's Obituary
Douglas (Doug) W. Lim
(May 1, 1948-April 21, 2021)
My beloved husband of 32 years passed away from Stage IV Bladder Cancer after a valiant 10 month battle with three different treatment regimens. His physical being went through so much that it could not endure. But his spirit and heart will live forever.
Doug was a strong believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for which we are thankful. He is now in the arms of our Loving God.
Doug was a unique human being, intelligent, kind, and loving towards those special people in his life. His friends rallied around him, showing him their deep love and spirit of camaraderie during these last few months. This deep love reflected what a loving friend he was to them.
He loved nature, plants, and animals, camping, and the fresh air smell of the outdoors. Some of his favorite places were Death Valley, Bodie, Point Reyes, and Joshua Tree National Park. He also had very tender feelings for the Peanuts characters. He would take me to the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa twice a year.
He was a San Francisco MUNI driver for 27 years, retiring at the fairly young age of 53.
It was an honor to be his wife and to have that special place in his heart forever. I will love you and carry you around in my heart always, Doug.
Gloria
