Doris Jean Lowe's Obituary
Doris Jean Lowe was born April 6, 1936 in Oakland, CA to Ralph Trufant and Erma Mae Brownow. Doris was the eldest of four children, Barbara Dell Saunders, Anita Lois Hamlin, both are deceased and Carol Trufant. Doris graduated from Berkeley High school and was soon working at the Oakland Army Base as an expert specialist. Doris worked there for 35 years which she enjoyed, and would have worked a little longer if they had stayed open. In 1955 she met and married Edmond T. Lowe Jr. and to this union they were blessed with three beautiful and loving children Leeta Maxine Lowe-Bright, Edmond Bryan Lowe, and Ralph Anthony Lowe. Edmond Jr. and Leetta Lowe proceeded her in death. Doris united with the Progressive Baptist Church when she was very young, and she was active in Sunday school, choir and had a membership action team. Doris leaves to cherish her memory two sons: Edmond Bryan Lowe and Ralph Anthony Lowe, daughter-in-law Sarah Lowe, sister Carol Trufant, mother-in-law Annie M. Lowe, brother-in-law William R. Lowe, sister-in-law Gloria Lowe, sister-in-law Deloris M. Smith, granddaughters: Latosha Lowe, Donna Bright, Hannah and Christina Lowe, Samuel Edmond Lowe and Ralph Anthony Lowe Jr., and many more great grand grandchildren, niece, nephews, and cousins.
