Donnie Dale Dickey, 72, of Brentwood, CA, passed away in his sleep on September 16, 2013. He requested no services. His interment is at the Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland, CA. Donnie was born in Brentwood, CA, joined the Air Force and was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1965.
Donnie was married to Namiko on September 6th, 1962; they were 51 years.
Donnie worked as a professional photographer for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandsons. Later, he worked as a Fire Inspector for Intertek Testing (formally Warnock Hersey, Intl).
Donnie is survived by his wife, daughters, grandsons, and other family and friends.
Donnie is preceded in death by his mother and father Obert and Nellie, his sister Dixie and brother Gene.
Donnie was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. To him, family always came first. He loved to camp, hunt, fish and pan for gold before his health got the best of him. He had a great sense of humor and was admired by all his friends and family.
Papa – we love you and will miss you greatly.
