Dietlinde Elliott, aged 88, passed away on June 16, 2024, in Oakland, CA. Born on May 25, 1936, in Münster, Germany, she moved to the United States where she built a life filled with dedication to her family and community.
Dietlinde was a devoted wife and mother, a role she cherished deeply, providing a nurturing and loving environment for her family. She had a profound passion for music and photography, often capturing the simple beauties of life through her lens. Her commitment to various social causes reflected her strong will and desire to make a difference.
She pursued higher education at Cal State Hayward, where she studied Child Psychology and received her master’s in science.
Dietlinde is survived by her sons, Greg and Michael, and her siblings, Christian, and Annette. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Elliott, with whom she shared 58 loving years.
Dietlinde is in the care of Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland, CA. A Memorial Service will be held at University Lutheran Chapel in Berkeley, CA on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:00 am.
