Derick Lamar Lynch's Obituary
Derick Lamar Lynch was born on August 29th, 1965 to the union of Lee and Virginia Lynch in Oakland, California. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age, and was baptized at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Oakland.
He participated and excelled at baseball even in his youth. He was an all-star for Babe Ruth Little League; he was an all-city at Oakland High School; he played semi-pro; and he played for a short time at Cal State Hayward where he graduated with a career degree in Bachelor of Arts & Marketing. He ended his career as a Product Marketing Manager at Quizlet.
Derick also took his skill and love for baseball into coaching, mentoring, and influencing kids in the sport throughout the Bay Area and beyond. Known for his ambition; he continued his coaching by co-founding Bay Area United Baseball Club, a nationally renowned youth baseball organization in 2011.
Derick met the love of his life, Jacqueline, in high school, and from that moment they were inseparable. They joined in holy matrimony in 1986. To this union, three handsome boys were born. They would spend the majority building their family in Dublin, California.
He leaves to cherish beautiful memories; his wife, Jackie; his three sons, Derick Jr, Jamil, & Justin; his parents, Lee & Virginia; his siblings Darryl (Michelle), Talithia (Trenton), & Damon (Kim); his in-laws Nita (Roosevelt), Dana, & Timothy; his loving aunts and uncles; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and many many friends who miss him dearly.
Derick was a loving and genuine man who inspired many people during his time on this Earth. While he sun set on the evening of his birth, he will continue to shine within the hearts of everyone he has touched.
