Denny Pak-Ho Lee's Obituary
Denny Pak-Ho Lee was born on September 25, 1930 in Chungshan City, Guangdong Province, China, to Howard Lee and Frances Law Lee. Denny passed away on October 6, 2023 after a brief illness. Denny loved good food, learning to cook new recipes, and talking with his friends. He enjoyed watching sports and learning about the newest technologies.
Denny spent his childhood in Hong Kong, attending Pui Ching High School and Chu Hai University. He relocated to Canada for graduate school, and then moved to San Francisco, California, where Denny met his future wife Mary Yee Lee. They married in 1962.
Denny earned an MBA from San Jose State University, and worked in the electronics industry for Smith-Corona Marchant and Caltronics. Denny later took a position as Operations Manager at Maintrain, a job-training non-profit organization specializing in teaching English and janitorial skills to Asian immigrants. In 2011, Denny retired from Maintrain after 30 years of service.
For many years, Denny also volunteered with the custodial training program at City College of San Francisco, until 2020 when the program temporarily shut down due to the pandemic. Throughout his lifetime, Denny positively impacted the lives of countless students.
Denny is preceded in death by his son Jasper. Denny is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Crystal and Stella, daughter-in-law Van Tran, grandsons Brandon, Justin, and Ryan, and the many members of the Lee clan.
