After his military service, he settled in Oakland, California, where he spent most of his life. He worked for the City of Oakland and was well known in the community for his role as an umpire, bringing fairness, integrity, and passion to the game.
Beyond his professional and civic contributions, Dennis was a devoted father. He is survived by his daughters, Dnejah Harbin and Charlexus Harbin, who will carry forward his legacy of love, resilience, and strength.
Funeral services honoring Dennis’s life were held at Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland, where family and friends gathered to celebrate his memory and the lasting impact he made on those around him.
