Darrell Miles Le Bon's Obituary
Darrell Miles Le Bon was born in Berkeley, California to Arthur and Marion Le Bon.He was the first-born to their union, followed by Harold Leon Le Bon (deceased) and Arthurine Laura Le Bon.Darrell was a social and outgoing youngster who attended school in Berkeley in his formative years, and later inspired by his love for music, he attended the Candell Music School in Oakland. Darrell was passionate about the piano and he soon achieved mastery over the instrument having learned to play with excellent technical precision and grace. For Darrell, music and particularly the piano, was his passion.Later Darrell served in the US Army and was stationed at an installation in Liberia, Africa. After serving in the Army, he was hired by the Oakland Naval Supply Center where he worked until he retired. Soon after, Darrell worked in the bails bonds business specifically for an office in San Francisco where he worked with numerous clients over the years. Throughout all of these life experiences, Darrell always maintained his love for the piano and particularly his enjoyment of playing and listening to jazz music. At various times, he was a welcomed member of carious jazz groups that performed throughout the San Francisco-Bay Area. Darrell was also a member of the American Legion, Post 695.Darrell will always be remembered for his dapper, kind, and friendly demeanor; as well as his love for his family, friends, and of course his love for music. Darrell’s parents and brother predeceased him but he is survived by his loving sister Arthurine Le Bon Taylor who resides in Berkeley; as well as, cousins who also reside in Berkeley, and cousins who are in the Sacramento area. Darrell will be missed, but never forgotten.
