Darlene Ikeda's Obituary
Darlene N. Ikeda, 60, of Alameda, CA, passed away January 16, 2021.
She was born in Auburn, CA on March 13, 1960. Darlene graduated from Del Oro High School in Loomis, CA and received a Bachelors of Science from University of California, Berkeley and a Masters of Science from California State University, Hayward.
She was married to Dennis Regan on September 10, 1994. Her children are Shannon and Christopher--the lights of her life.
Darlene worked as a bookkeeper for Rockridge Optometry for 39 years. She was also the owner of Body Dynamics, an aerobic exercise company for many years.
She successfully aligned her passion for her kids and sports by functioning as "general manager" for coach Dennis and was a head cheerleader for both Shannon's softball and Christopher's baseball teams. She was involved in the classroom of both kids and actively participated in various fundraisers to support the school sports teams. Darlene touched the hearts of everyone she met and will be dearly missed by all.
Darlene is survived by her husband Dennis, children Shannon and Christopher, and sister Sandra Ikeda.
A private memorial, with strict Covid restrictions, will be held at noon, February 13, 2021 at the Chapel of the Chimes, Oakland, CA.
