Daisy W Owyang's Obituary
Daisy Wong Owyang, 91, passed away peacefully at her loving home with family on Jan. 7, 2014. Always optimistic, Daisy met the challenges of her illness with strength and grace. Daisy was born on Oct. 10, 1922, to the late Dut Wong and Woo Shee in Canton, China. She lived most of her young life in Seattle Washington. She had five younger brothers and one sister. In 1948, she married Bill Owyang and moved to Oakland, CA; where they would soon start a family. Her laugh, smile, love and generosity will always bring a smile to our faces! She is tremendously blessed with
a great family and her life was full of laughter and joy. She leaves behind her beloved children Terrence (Dianna Louie), Renee (Ron Matthews), and Douglas (Patricia); her adored grandchildren Brittany (Robb Clendenen), Graham (Marika), Riki, Roni, and George Kong III (Nancy); her brother Albert Wong and sister Mary Woo (Jerry); her sisters-in-law Louise Owyang, Esther Din, Ella Owyang, Sandra Wong, Norma Wong and Ida Wong; many loved nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews, and many other relatives and friends. She has set a great example for all of us to be generous and grateful. Her hard work and endurance enabled us all to have a better life. Preceded in death by brothers; Robert, Jerry, Phillip, and Richard.
