To the family of Clyde Sotomey, I am sending my deepest condolences. I have not seen Clyde in years and have often wondered how he is doing and what he was doing. I can tell you that I am deeply sadden to hear of his passing and sad that I was not able to attend. I met Clyde back in 1992 when he managed the restaurant at the Marriot Downtown Oakland when I worked across the street at 1000 Broadway for BART. We remained friends over the years and I often worked on a few business ventures with him that one memorable and that was at the Oaktree in Oakland. When he hosted the NBA All Star Weekend at the Oaktree, he asked me if I would host the VIP Room to the Celebrities and I did, the entire event was a huge success! Additionally, he placed our beer, Brothers Brewing Company (BBC), the very first African American Owned Micro Brewery in the Nation at the Marriott and the Oaktree. Thank you Clyde. Rest in Heavenly Peace Clyde. Robin
