Clementine Carolyn Klaiss' Obituary
CLEMENTINE C. KLAISS A 63 year resident of Oakland, Clem left us suddenly on April 8, 2008 at home with the love of her life by her side. Clem was 87 years of age.Born March 24, 1921 in Lawrence, Mass., the only child of the late Mary and Joseph Silva. Adored and devoted 'Dearest 'Lil Wife' of 65 years and best friend of Archie P. Klaiss, Jr. Theirs is truly a love story, as Mom and Dad never missed wishing each other a Happy Anniversary on the 13th day of every month of every year they were married! They are truly an example of what marriage is all about! Devoted mother of Richard P. Klaiss of Oakland, Patricia Milner and son-in-law Gary of Hayward. Beloved Grandma Clem of Joshua P. Klaiss of Wisconsin. Christopher P. Milner and wife Rebecca of San Diego, and Joseph P. Milner of Dublin. Beloved Great-Grandma Clem of Kaylee, Kaden, Jacob and Sophia Milner of San Diego, CA. Clem was a graduate of Heald Business School in San Jose, CA. After graduation she went back to Atwater and was the head registrar of the hospital at Castle Air Force Base in Merced, and it was there that she met the love of her life, Archie. Clem was a member of St. Augustine Parish in Oakland for 58 years. She cleaned the altar and did the linens for 20 years. She was involved in the Ladies Guild of St. Augustine School Oakland. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and Girl Scout Leader. Dubbed the 'Cookie Lady' by many Clem will be remembered for her famous cookies, especially her bite sized chocolate chip and Mexican Wedding Cakes!!! We wish to thank Dr. James Saunders for the wonderful care he took of mom throughout the last 13 years. In keeping with her request, no services will be held. Private inurnment will be at Chapel of the Chimes, Oakland, CA.
