Charlesetta Harris Brown passed away in her home surrounded by family and friends on
Sunday August 27, 2017. She fought a 9 month battle with lung cancer.
Charlesetta was born in Sacramento, CA on January 31st, 1952 to Daniel Webster Harris, Sr. and Mattie Harris. Charlesetta graduated from Sacramento High School where she competed on the track team. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sacramento State University. In 1969, she gave birth to her only child, Sheree Page-Snow. In 2002, she married Gregory C. Brown and was a loving step-mother to Blake E. Brown. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and traveling through the U.S.A. and abroad.
Charlesetta held multiple positions in the telecommunications industry during her 35 year career. She retired in 2011 as a Senior Business Manager at AT&T. During her career, she was an active member/officer of the American Business Women’s Association – Cities by the Bay Area Chapter.
Charlesetta was well-liked by her friends and colleagues. She was forthright and insightful. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her parents and her brothers Alexander Harris, Wilson Harris, and William Harris preceded her in passing. She is survived by her husband, Gregory; children Sheree and Blake; brothers Daniel Harris, Roosevelt Harris, Thomas Harris, Louis Harris; sister Josephine Harris; and a large extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews.
