Preceded in death by the love of his life, G. Joan Watts. Loving father of David Watts, Susan Watts, Stacy and Bruce Lignell, all of Alameda.
Devoted Grandfather to Sarah and Tom Kelly of Mariposa, Ca. Jennifer and Eric Feliciano of Fallon Nevada. Alana and Danny Jones of Hayward, Ca. Shane and Alicia Potts of Medford, Oregon. Brian Potts of Mariposa, Ca. Kenny and Hillary Potts of Knox, Indiana. Samantha and Trevor Bell of Portage, Indiana.
Amazing Great Grandfather to Joanna and Sawyer, Damian, CaeLynne, Michael, Cory, Emma, Rico, Scarlett, Yuriah, Elanore, Vernon, Kira, and Seth.
Charlie was born in Alameda to Charles F. and Ann Watts. He graduated from Alameda High School in 1949. After High School Charlie worked at Saylors Candy company and other various jobs. He was drafted into the Army and served in Germany. in 1955 he met Joan Ridenour at a Christmas party at his home, and they married the next November. They raised their family in Hayward where Charlie owned a Gas Station.
Charlie and Joan moved back to Alameda in 1988 and spent a lot of time enjoying their grandchildren and traveling.
Charlie loved to Golf and travel the world with his friends. He was social and loved by everyone he ever met. He was a member of the Native Sons of Alameda and active in Lifering and CDRP.
There will be a Celebration of Life after the New Year to allow for all to present from both near and far.
