Catherine Virginia Atases' Obituary
Catherine V. Atases May 2, 1918 – Nov. 18, 2011 Resident of Oakland Catherine passed away on November 18, 2011 at the age of 93. She was born in Ponca City, OK and moved to California where she resided in Oakland. Catherine was a court stenographer for the Salinas court system for several years, where she then went to work for Bechtel Engineering. She met her husband, James E. Atases, and had two children: Anthony E. Atases and Patrice D. Atases. She has four grandchildren: Megan L. Sutton, Anthony J. Atases, Jack A. Sutton, and Jonathon Atases. Her passions were reading and writing, with a strong Catholic faith. She is loved and will be missed. Family and friends are invited to attend a small ceremony at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Oakland on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 11 am
